Flamboyant Shopping, in Goiânia, Brazil, announced the biggest expansion in its history: an investment of R$1.5 billion to turn the mall into an integrated mixed-use complex. The news was published by g1 Goiás (in Portuguese) in July 2026.

What will be built
According to the announcement, the complex will include:
- 86 new stores
- seven restaurants
- three movie theaters
- a large supermarket
- a medical center
- an office tower
- a tower for a hotel and serviced residences
The project in numbers
- Investment: R$1.5 billion
- New area: 37,000 m² of gross leasable area (GLA), the space available for stores and operations
- Expected opening: second half of 2029
For scale, Flamboyant opened on October 16, 1981, has more than 137,000 m² of built area, brings together more than 300 brands and receives around 1.5 million visitors a month, according to the report.
What Flamboyant said
The CEO, Emmanuele Louza, explained the core idea: bringing work, shopping, healthcare, accommodation, leisure and dining into a single place. "Consumers are increasingly looking for convenience in their daily lives," she told g1.
She also said the mall should keep operating normally during construction, which was planned in phases.
What it may mean for the area
Flamboyant is in Jardim Goiás, surrounded by neighborhoods such as Park Lozandes and Alto da Glória. A complex with offices, a medical center, a hotel and residences tends to bring activity to the surroundings throughout the day, not only during shopping hours. The CEO herself mentioned attracting new businesses and creating jobs.
That is not a guarantee for any specific property. Large projects can be delayed, plans change, and the price of an apartment depends on much more than a famous neighbor. If you are thinking of buying in the area because of the news, I listed the questions worth asking first.
What is still unknown
The report does not say how many residences the tower will have, which brands are coming or the schedule of each phase. Details were due to be presented at Exposhopping 2026. It is worth following the mall's official announcements.
